When to start training a puppy?
At what age is it appropriate to begin training a puppy?
Puppies can begin very simple training starting as soon as they come home, usually around 8 weeks old. Always keep training sessions brief — just 5 to 10 minutes —and always end on a positive note.
Like all animals, puppies learn from their moms.
But it’s up to you to be their leader when you bring home your puppy and teach them what they need to know in order to grow up to be well-rounded adult dogs!
